I got my Spectre about a month and a half ago and I’ve been riding it everyday here (got lucky with the weather) in Toronto. First the build and ride, it’s super solid, handles great, very fast, gear ratio is bang on for the city, feels really well built. I was afraid of the slicks in the rain but to be honest I haven’t had any issues and they are super grippy. Assembly, I followed the instructions and the assembly was easy. Looks wise, it looks amazing, way better in person, when I’m not riding it, it’s hanging in my living room. Pictures don’t do it justice, and the matte black finish is perfect. Customer service, I had a lot of questions before the purchase, they were quick to respond and answered all my questions. Shipping, I ordered it on a Monday and hand it delivered to my condo by Wednesday. Anything else, I’d say don’t hesitate, these are great bikes. I’ve been riding single speeds for the last 20 years and it’s up there with bikes 3x the price.
Have had a Regal for 8 years now......have travelled with it and ridden it on all kinds of vacations.....this bike's simplicity and solid build are a joy. It turns heads everywhere I go for it's clean lines and European sensibility.......got one for my wife as well.
I ordered the 3-speed stealth, but received the guardian instead. I was too lazy and impatient to send it back. Luckily the rear wheel can be left as a single-speed instead of having it in fixed gear. Really really love it so far and I'm actually glad they sent me the wrong bike because now I have to choice to switch to fixed gear if I wanted to lol. The chrome is also growing on me.
Extremely happy with my purchase, this bikes rides like a dream, easy assembly and without much effort I'm riding at 20km/h. I'll be recommending it to all my friends and family.
Received my Fox 3-speed from Regal well packaged with all parts securely wrapped in the box. Very simple to install the quill stem with handlebars already attached. Put on the seat post and pedals. Adjusted the brakes to my preference and it was pretty much ready to ride in about 15 minutes. The Shimano Nexus 3-speed changes gears effortlessly with the twist grip shifter. Looking forward to taking it out for a nice long ride but unfortunately its still winter where I am so a few more weeks.
The bike is great. Easy to assemble. Unfortunately the wheels are not very true. Have to have them straightened at a local bike shop. But overall a good bike. Can hardly wait to get out and ride in the spring.
Beautiful bike, rides well! Quiet ride, ideal gear ratio, handles well when turning. Included petal straps are handy (I ride free wheel, haven't used the straps).
Has only two threaded eyelets and leaves me wanting, no eyelets near the rear wheel mounting point limits options for rear-racks for no obvious reason. No eyelets on the front, no mounting plate for a kick-stand either. Adding extra mounting points would improve this bike (and save me the headache of finding compatible parts).
My whole experience with Regal has been excellent! The bike arrived in lightening speed (I ordered it on a Saturday and it arrived on my doorstep in Ottawa the following Tuesday). Everything needed to assemble the bike was included and the assembly instructions are clear and simple. Like many of the other reviews, I find the bike rides really well and is great for zipping around the city. I am transitioning from years of fixed gear riding and, I must say, having shifting options is fantastic. Plus it looks really cool! Overall: looks great, rides great!! Thanks Regal!!
Got it just 3 days after ordering the bicycle, it was super easy to put together, and once I got the tires filled and had ridden it for the first time; I knew it was perfect. Smoothest gear shifting, good posture positions, just a quality vehicle.
Looking forwards to putting many Km on it!!
Great bike comes with easy instructions with tools to build it. I rode it 3-4 times and it’s great. If you’re 5’10 you’ll need a large for sure. Great customer service.
It arrived in a typlical bike box and was easy to assemble. Just required unwrapping, front wheel, handle bars, seat post and pedals to be attached. What shocked me was the condition of all the compoenents. I've purchased other bikes online and usually have to rebuild them so all the parts are working as required. Not the Spectre. The head tube was greased. The free wheel and fixed cog had their threads greased. Since it comes with sealed bottom bracket and sealed hubs I didn't have to check them but they rotated very freely. The wheels were both true, a very rare occurance with an online purchase. The brakes on both wheels were prefectly tuned, no adjustments required. After inflating the tires I was on the road in 30 minutes after receiving the box.
Now that I've had it for a week and put 400 kilometres on it I can say it was well worth the money and I have no regrets on trying Regal. And even at 63 years old I look pretty cool on it especially when I'm passing the roadies. I did switched out the saddle and handle bars for ones I'm more familiar with but that's just a personal preference.
If you're contemplating buying a Regal, rest assured you'll be getting a quality bike.

I own 2 Regal bikes. This 3 speed stealth and a premium single speed. The 3 speed is great for booting around town with my 2.5 year old on the back. Is fast enough and handles hills like a champ. Only thing I wish was a bit of a larger frame on the XL (I’m 6’3”)and a little more of an upright riding position.
Had my eyes on this bike for a while. Finally copped it. I'm really happy with the purchase. Preferred to go with the chrome color way but unfortunately they're out of stock.
After riding my new Matte Stealth for about a month, I can truly say I love this bike. If you're on the fence--and the bike you want is in stock--just grab it, you won't regret it.
I ride it about 4km a day, every day, to the gym and back, plus the odd errand. It's light, rock solid, rides beautifully, and turns heads. I did strip some of the branding/stickers off, but other than that just added my Knog Lil' Cobber lights (best lights I've had, and I've been through a lot of lights) and hit the road.
The assembly instructions weren't stellar, but with a little bike maintenance knowledge, it was quick and easy to assemble.
I did a lot of research before landing on Regal. I looked at U.S. brands with similar specs, but factoring in shipping and exchange, Regal won by a long shot. I also looked at a number of Canadian single-speed brands, but their specs weren't as good. All considered, this Regal bike is the best deal going--solid specs, good quality, great price. I expect to be riding this bike for many happy years to come.
I bike throughout the year, no matter the weather – basically every day here in Toronto. Having owned a bike that barely lasted two years before starting to fall apart, it took me quite some time to find and end up deciding on the 3-Speed Matte Stealth from Regal Bicycles.
The Shimano Nexus internal hub, the frame build and all the good reviews and recommendation did it for me. I didn’t find any other bike on the market, at this affordable price that would meet these criteria.
Not only is it super comfortable to ride with indeed much more shock absorption due to the Chromoly frame but it’s also very responsive and really allows for a smooth and comfortable ride.
The three speeds are ideal in a city like Toronto, with small slopes.
I added some accessories as you can see in the photos. I pull a double Thule Chariot Cross 2 on a regular basis with my two kids in it, hooked up to my bike using the Thule internal hub hitch adaptor which works like a charm. Here the three speeds come in real handy! Speed 1 is ideal to ride around Toronto and make it up some slopes without too much effort.
I did change the saddle just out of personal preference (can’t comment on the original one as I didn’t try it).
Fenders was a bit of an issue as I really need them when riding through any weather here. However, there is barely any clearance under the brakes so full fenders won’t work without creating friction. As an alternate solution, the SKS Raceblade Pro XL Fender Set (700x25-32) work super well and keep that mud off my shoes and my backpack!
Also, Regal Bicycles definitely knows something about customer care. After the first bike being damaged during shipping, Ray actually took the time to built me a new one and brought it by himself – what a great service! Honestly, where can you get anything better?? (Although I didn't put together the bike I currently ride on, I did build up the first one almost to the last step and found the instructions clear and easy to follow).
Overall, this is by far the best bike I’ve ever owned and makes it an absolute pleasure to ride it, no matter the conditions! I definitely recommend Regal Bicycles and the 3-Speed Matte Stealth to any avid biker looking for the perfect solution!
I received my 3 speeds Matte Stealth during the 1st week of July. Since then I've been ridding it almost everyday, accumulated more than 250KM, so far. I enjoyed my daily ride very much. I'm retired and ride for fun and fitness.
The bike is a very good looking bicycle, received several good comments about it. I find the bike a little heavy than I expected. It's weight as shown in the picture is 13.5Kg about 30lbs. I believe the bike is designed for City communting with mostly flat terrian. It is very nimble at high speed (over 20kmph). At low speed the short handle bar always overshoot and make it a little difficult to balance. It is a fast bike. My paddle cadence is in the range of 60 to 70 per min, at gear 2, I would go at 20-25kmph. In gear 3 I have no trouble reaching mid 30 and even 40kmph. In my area, hills are generally small and gradient is usually below 5%, 1st gear is great, but any steeper will be difficult for me.
Couple of things I don't like about the bike are 1) the Stem is relatively short not much room to adjust the height of the handle bar. It forces you to ride low and put strain on your wrist and shoulder. 2) The stock saddle is a pain to sit on for any length of time.
Overall I'm pleased with my purchase. Regal is very helpful when it comes to after sales service.

Decided to switch to a bike for me to commute and get around and couldn't be more pleased with the bike. However the gear shifting could use some better QC as my gears tend to change on it's own but it's nevertheless a great bike. I definitely get heads turning looking at my bike and it still has that 'fixie' look but with gears. Seat is a bit uncomfortable but nothing a seat change can't fix. All in all it's a great looking bike !
Was looking into buying a fixed gear as an Ontario resident, and this is IMO the best deal for a first fixed gear in Canada.
FlipFlop hub lets you ride how you want, build quality was great and there were no dents or scratches following shipping.
If you're in Canada, this is your best bet!
Loving the bike so far, rides great on 20+km rides, handles different road types with ease and with a little tweaking, the saddle is surprisingly comfortable. Got a bike-shop to setup the bike but it seemed pretty straight forward, so I'd be comfortable doing it myself if I were to do it over again.
Great customer service and I appreciated the preorder updates being regular!
